This notice explains how SideLedger uses your information when you join the waitlist or use the free HMRC limit checker on this website.
Who we are

The free checker
The "Am I near the HMRC limits?" calculator runs entirely in your web browser. The figures you type in are not sent to us or stored by us.
What we collect when you join the waitlist
- Your email address.
- Which selling platforms you use, if you choose to tell us.
- The date and time you signed up, and a record that you agreed to receive emails.
Our web host Cloudflare may also process technical data such as IP addresses for security and to keep the site running. We don't store your IP address with your waitlist details; to stop spam we keep only a one-way scrambled (hashed) version for up to 24 hours.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details only to email you about SideLedger: launch news, early access and the founder lifetime deal. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. We use the platform information to understand which import features to build first.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We use a small number of service providers to run the waitlist: our web host Cloudflare (which hosts this website and stores the waitlist in its European data centres) and, later, our email service Kit (formerly ConvertKit). These providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until SideLedger launches and for up to 12 months afterwards, or until you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. If the project doesn't go ahead, we'll delete the list.
Unsubscribing
Every email will include an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@sideledger.co.uk and we'll remove you.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent at any time, by contacting hello@sideledger.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
